The 1st Ladies Doll Museum holds an exact replica of each of the First Ladies' of the United States and the First Ladies' of Arkansas inaugural ball gowns.  Martha Washington's inaugural gown is shown in this photo.  She had insects, such as butterflies and ants, embroidered on her gown.
